About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Chef to lead our culinary team at Compass Group, North America. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing innovative menu concepts, managing kitchen operations, and ensuring exceptional customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Menu Development: Create and implement regular and specialty menus that meet the highest standards of quality, presentation, and nutritional value.
  • Kitchen Operations: Supervise and train kitchen staff in food preparation, equipment operation, and safety protocols to maintain a clean and efficient work environment.
  • Inventory Management: Manage food and supply inventory to optimize utilization and ensure timely delivery of essential products.
  • Compliance and Safety: Ensure adherence to health and sanitation regulations, participate in audits, and maintain thorough cleaning and maintenance schedules for equipment and work areas.
  • Team Collaboration: Participate in departmental meetings, staff development initiatives, and professional programs to stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices.
Requirements
  • Education: Associate's degree in culinary arts or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: 5+ years of progressive culinary/kitchen management experience, with catering experience preferred.
  • Skills: Proven success in high-volume, complex foodservice operations, with a solid base in institutional and batch cooking. Hands-on chef experience is critical, accompanied by extensive knowledge of food trends, emphasizing quality, production, sanitation, cost control, and presentation.
  • Certifications: ServSafe & Allergen certifications are highly desirable, highlighting a commitment to food safety.
