Position Overview

IKO South, Inc. is in search of a Plant Maintenance Manager to become a vital part of our dedicated workforce at our manufacturing facility.
**This is not a remote position***

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee plant maintenance operations and develop the maintenance strategy in alignment with industry best practices, focusing on planning, scheduling, and preventive maintenance while fostering a Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) culture.
  • Ensure maintenance personnel are well-trained, equipped, and motivated to execute the maintenance program safely, efficiently, and cost-effectively.
  • Facilitate open communication with maintenance staff, both individually and collectively, to address maintenance concerns effectively.
  • Conduct performance evaluations for maintenance team members based on defined job roles to assess skills, knowledge, and contributions.
  • Maintain and enhance operational and training documentation for the maintenance division.
  • Utilize a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) to monitor work orders, inventory of spare parts, and maintenance records of equipment.
  • Track equipment histories, repair logs, and resource needs.
  • Strategically plan and manage the upkeep of all plant machinery while minimizing costs and maximizing reliability.
  • Oversee the inventory and usage of spare parts and maintenance supplies, initiating reorders as necessary.
  • Prepare analytical reports, evaluate data, and propose enhancements for plant operations and maintenance-related challenges.
  • Manage procedures to ensure the availability and control of spare parts.
  • Implement a robust preventive and predictive maintenance program.
  • Control maintenance budgets and ensure alignment with financial plans.
  • Identify and implement cost-saving measures to counteract any negative variances from the financial plan.
  • Maintain and service maintenance shop equipment.
  • Lead safety initiatives within the maintenance team to achieve zero injury goals.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant city, county, state, and federal regulations pertaining to the maintenance department.
Qualifications and Skills Required:
  • Associate's degree in a relevant technical discipline (Bachelor's degree in Engineering preferred).
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in manufacturing maintenance within a continuous production environment.
  • Strong financial understanding to enhance overall plant performance metrics while minimizing costs.
  • Experience in the repair and maintenance of processing machinery.
  • Ability to conduct assessments and evaluations to gauge progress.
  • Proficient analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on data-driven decision-making.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Capability to make independent and informed decisions.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to influence and achieve results through collaboration.
  • Self-motivated, results-oriented, and proactive.
