Key Responsibilities:

Reporting to the VP of Operations, the Business Development Associate will collaborate with a skilled team of specialists in quality assurance, engineering, safety, and business administration to manage key accounts and develop new partnerships across various industries, including energy, construction materials, and recreational sectors. The Business Development Associate will be responsible for:

  • Developing and implementing sales strategies to acquire new clients and enhance existing relationships, aiming to meet revenue targets and increase market presence in the Midwest.
  • Identifying and pursuing new business opportunities to broaden the customer base through networking, sales visits, and promotional initiatives.
  • Maintaining strong relationships with current clients to ensure satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Assisting clients with any sand-related inquiries or challenges.
  • Collaborating with the marketing team to create impactful promotional materials and campaigns that highlight our offerings.
  • Conducting product demonstrations and presentations to showcase the benefits of our products to potential clients.
  • Overseeing laboratory and production trials with prospective clients.
  • Negotiating contracts and agreements with clients to secure favorable terms for the company.
  • Staying informed about industry trends, market dynamics, and competitor activities to make strategic decisions.
  • Providing regular updates on client accounts, prospects, and market developments for management analysis and planning.
  • Implementing continuous improvement strategies to enhance the sales process and customer experience.
  • Participating in strategic planning discussions with senior management.
  • Engaging with local and national industry associations.

Qualifications:

  • Residing in the Midwest region.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • 1 to 10 years of proven success in sales or account management, preferably in the foundry or mining sectors.
  • A demonstrated history of business development and sales growth.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal presentation abilities, adaptable to various audiences.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Familiarity with foundry or mining processes and products is a plus.
  • A proactive attitude and eagerness to learn and grow professionally.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Willingness to travel for client meetings and industry events.
  • A valid Driver's License with a clean driving record.
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment drug/alcohol screening and background check.
