The Orthopaedic Physician Assistant at Jefferson Northeast provides high-quality patient care under the supervision of an Orthopaedic surgeon. This role involves evaluating patients, developing treatment plans, and performing various procedures. The ideal candidate will have a Master's degree from an accredited physician assistant/nurse practioner program and at least 2 years of experience in Orthopaedics.
Key Responsibilities- Evaluate patients and develop treatment plans under the supervision of an Orthopaedic surgeon
- Perform various procedures, including therapeutic and diagnostics procedures
- Assist in surgery and complete all necessary hospital documentation
- Optimize patients for surgery and ensure all necessary consultations, labs, and diagnostics studies have been completed
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams and maintain ongoing communications with staff, patients, and families
- Master's degree from an accredited physician assistant/nurse practioner program
- At least 2 years of experience in Orthopaedics
- Certified Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner in Pennsylvania
- BLS and ACLS certifications
- DEA license
