ROLE SUMMARY:
- The Bilingual Education Support Specialist will provide individualized and small group assistance to students, facilitating the implementation of educational programs.
- This role operates on school days, adhering to the academic calendar of the partnering school district.
- Typical working hours are as follows: Elementary: 8:30 AM - 4:00 PM, Middle School: 8:15 AM - 3:15 PM, High School: 7:30 AM - 3:00 PM.
- Work hours may vary based on specific assignments.
- Enjoy 11 paid holidays and 7 days of paid leave, pro-rated according to the start date.
- The hourly compensation for this position is $23.47.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Collaborate with the classroom instructor to assist in delivering lessons and educational activities.
- Effectively communicate student progress and challenges to the classroom teacher.
- Actively participate as a member of the instructional team.
- Support the classroom teacher in enhancing the educational outcomes of targeted students.
- Engage in effective communication with both students and educators.
- Prepare necessary instructional and non-instructional materials.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned by the classroom teacher and school administration.
- Consistent and punctual attendance is crucial for success in this role.
QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor's degree is required.
- PA Teacher Certification is mandatory.
- Experience in public education or working with school-aged children in a licensed or certified environment is preferred.
CREDENTIALS:
(Clearances must be current within the last 12 months)
- PA Child Abuse Clearance (Act 151)
- PA Criminal Clearance (Act 34)
- FBI Clearance through the PA Department of Education – Use code 1KG6XN
- Current TB Screening (within 3 months)
- Proof of Education - Diploma or Official Transcripts
