Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Guest Service Representative at Hampton Inn & Suites. As a key member of our front desk team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our guests, ensuring their stay with us is memorable and enjoyable.

Key Responsibilities
  • Guest Service: Provide superior service to guests, responding to their needs and requests in a timely and professional manner.
  • Registration and Check-In: Register guests, obtain necessary information, and ensure proper credit is established.
  • Communication: Respond to guest inquiries and complaints in a prompt and courteous manner.
  • Front Desk Operations: Operate the hotel switchboard, manage cash drawers, and perform other front desk duties as required.
  • Housekeeping Coordination: Communicate with the housekeeping department regarding room status and availability.
  • Safety Deposit Boxes: Issue safety deposit boxes to guests as requested.
  • Room Status Monitoring: Reconcile the housekeeping report with the registration cards to monitor room occupancy.
  • Pre-Blocking Rooms: Pre-block rooms for incoming guests, especially those with special requests or VIP considerations.
  • Additional Assignments: Perform additional assignments as required by management.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience: Hospitality and/or customer service experience is preferred.
  • Communication Skills: Must be able to communicate effectively, be polite, courteous, and responsive to our guests.
  • Language Skills: Must be able to speak and write the English language in an understandable manner.
  • Physical Demands: Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
  • Organizational Skills: Must be organized and detail-oriented.
  • Driver's License: A valid driver's license is required.
  • Computer Skills: Typing and computer skills are required.
