Senior Survivability Engineer

We are seeking a Senior Survivability Engineer to join our team. This individual will provide engineering guidance to support the development and testing of advanced aircraft. The successful candidate will interact daily with Air Force program managers and industry subject matter experts to assist the government with technical assessments, strategic planning, and engineering evaluations.

This position will be located on-site in the Washington DC area with frequent US travel. The ideal candidate will have a comprehensive understanding of aircraft survivability, including visual, audio, infrared, and radio frequency aspects. They will also have experience with recent significant systems engineering projects related to aircraft survivability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist system engineers in developing aircraft survivability specifications.
  • Assess and review aircraft survivability specifications.
  • Develop aircraft survivability test plans.
  • Review test data from survivability tests and evaluations.
  • Provide performance assessments.
  • Support the development of survivability support subsystems that enhance aircraft maintainability.

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of experience in aircraft survivability, including systems engineering and technical expertise.
  • Experience with recent significant systems engineering projects related to aircraft survivability.
  • Specific knowledge of classified test and evaluation capabilities used to develop advanced aircraft characteristics.

Clearance Requirements:

  • Active TOP SECRET with Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) AND previous SAP experience.
  • U.S. Citizenship is required for this position.
