Onco360 is seeking a skilled PRN Oncology Pharmacist to join our team at our New Hyde Park Pharmacy. The ideal candidate will have experience in oncology pharmacy and be able to work flexible shifts, including Mondays, Thursdays, and Fridays from 10am to 6:30pm.
Key Responsibilities:- Evaluate physician medication orders for appropriateness, making recommendations for therapy changes as needed.
- Maintain accurate patient databases, including current and past medical history, clinical and laboratory data, and concurrent medications.
- Ensure laboratory tests are ordered, evaluated, and discussed with the healthcare team as necessary.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to provide clinical and technical support.
- Document all communication with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare team members in the medical record.
- Implement policies and procedures for safe drug procurement, storage, distribution, and use.
- Obtain and maintain required documentation in accordance with federal and state regulatory agencies.
- Inform the Pharmacy Manager of medication-related errors.
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy (Pharm D preferred)
- Experience: One year experience in specialty pharmacy (preferred)
- Skills: Knowledge of pharmacy laws and regulations, ability to work cooperatively as a team member
- Licenses/Certifications: Current license in the state of practice (multiple state licenses desired)
