Job Summary

Pentucket Bank is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Relationship Banker to join our team. As a key member of our banking team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, building strong relationships with our customers, and driving business growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide personalized service to customers, responding to their financial needs and making recommendations to meet their goals.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers, identifying opportunities to deepen their financial relationships with the bank.
  • Meet and exceed performance goals, actively participating in business development initiatives and incentive programs.
  • Process a variety of transactions with accuracy and efficiency, including accepting deposits, processing payments, and maintaining necessary logs.
  • Issue money orders, official checks, and process coin, assessing fees as necessary.
  • Verify transactions, place holds when necessary, and balance cash drawers to ensure compliance.
  • Open new accounts, certificates of deposit, and other ancillary products, providing account opening information and ensuring proper paperwork is completed.
  • Assist with ATM-related issues and daily balancing procedures.
  • Maintain thorough knowledge of vault policies and procedures, performing vault duties and overseeing drawer limits.
  • Perform security functions, including opening and closing the bank and vault, ensuring overall safety and security.
  • Maintain customer confidentiality and retention of bank documents in accordance with Pentucket Bank's policies.
  • Serve as a mentor for Relationship Bankers coming out of training, providing guidance and support until they achieve mastery of their job function.
  • Assist the Assistant Branch Manager with weekly and monthly audit procedures.
  • Exercise discretion when overriding transactions for Relationship Bankers.
  • Oversee branch operations and supervise in the absence of the Assistant Branch Manager, including opening and closing the bank office.
Requirements
  • Minimum of high school education or equivalent, plus 3+ years of retail or customer service experience, preferably in a teller and/or customer service role.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft applications, including Outlook, Word, and Excel, as well as comfort with internet-based applications.
  • Basic understanding and aptitude for math, working with numbers, and cash handling.
  • Demonstrated aptitude for customer service and comfort with verbal and written communications, detail orientation, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and willingness to work nights and weekends as requested.
