Operating Room Nurse

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Operating Room team at St. Catherine Hospital – Dodge City. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to a positive and supportive work environment.
Responsibilities- Facilitate effective communication and collaboration with the healthcare team, patients, and families to identify and meet physical, emotional, and spiritual needs.
- Promote optimal health, well-being, and safety of patients through the use of the nursing process and adherence to patient care standards and guidelines.
- Demonstrate personal accountability for relationship-based care, organizational mission, and core values.
- Circulate and/or scrub on all cases, including GEN, Ortho (trauma/totals/Sports medicine), Urology, and OB/GYN.
- Provide breaks and/or supplies and sterile instruments as needed during operations.
- Assist with room turnover and restocking for next day's cases.
- Act as an advocate for patients before, during, and after surgery.
- Associates Degree in Nursing required; Nursing Diploma or by endorsement.
- Bachelors Degree in Nursing preferred.
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing required for new graduates, preferred for experienced RNs.
- One year experience preferred.
- Nursing skills and knowledge base specific to specialty.
- RN License required; Current state nursing licenses or valid RN license from a participating state in the National Licensure Compact.
