Overview

As a Registered Nurse in our Emergency Department, you will play a critical role in providing compassionate and skilled care to patients of all ages, from infant to end of life.

Our Emergency Department is equipped with state-of-the-art technology and staffed by a team of experienced healthcare professionals. We are dedicated to providing fast-paced and thoughtful care to each patient, and we strive to create a positive and supportive work environment for our employees.

Responsibilities
  • Facilitate, communicate, and collaborate with the healthcare team and patients/families to identify and meet the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of patients.
  • Promote the optimal health, well-being, and safety of patients through the use of the nursing process and in accordance with patient care standards, guidelines, and the State Nurse Practice Act.
  • Demonstrate personal accountability for relationship-based care, organizational mission, and core values.
Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A current state nursing license or RN license from a participating state in the National Licensure Compact.
  • Nursing Diploma or Associates Degree in Nursing required; Bachelors Degree in Nursing preferred.
  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing required for new graduates, preferred for experienced RNs.
  • BLS from the American Heart Association required within 8 weeks from hire.
  • ALCS from the American Heart Association required within six months of hire.
  • PALS from the American Heart Association or ENPC required within six months of hire.
  • NIHSS required within six months of hire.
  • TNCC required within six months of hire.
  • Emergency Room RN experience preferred.
  • One year RN experience.
  • Nursing skills and knowledge base specific to specialty.

Shift

This is a variable shift position, with the majority of shifts occurring on the night shift (6:45p-7:15 am).
