Role Mission: The Operations Principal Assistant (OPA) oversees campus operations for each IDEA location (two educational institutions) and is accountable for achieving operational excellence across non-instructional sectors, including front office management, student information systems, child nutrition, transportation, health services, business office, facility maintenance, new construction management, technology coordination, student recruitment, and enrollment.

- Salaries for individuals entering this role typically range from $73,955 to $90,225, based on relevant experience and qualifications, ensuring alignment with internal equity. This position is also eligible for a performance bonus contingent on organizational performance and goal achievement.
We provide a comprehensive benefits package, covering a significant portion of the employee premium for the base medical plan and subsidizing most costs for spouses/domestic partners and children. Some unique benefits offered at IDEA include:
- Paid Family Leave: Eligible staff may receive up to 8 weeks of paid leave for the birth or adoption of a child, based on their tenure with the organization and caregiver designation.
- Tuition Reimbursement: Staff members may apply for reimbursement of up to 50% of tuition paid toward a qualifying degree program, with a maximum of $5,250 per year, subject to managerial discretion and budget availability.
- Employer-Paid Mental/Behavioral Health: 5 face-to-face counseling sessions within a year, unlimited 24/7 telephonic counseling, and other work-life services at no cost.

- Ensure top performers occupy every position across all operations roles.
- Implement operating mechanisms that facilitate ongoing coaching and support for team members (check-ins, tactical meetings, regular observation and feedback sessions, high-quality talent review process, and staff development cycle).
- Utilize the OPA Priorities Calendar; routinely assess team members based on progress toward goals as well as principal and HQ feedback; prioritize support accordingly.
- Develop and execute student recruitment strategies targeting families with school-aged children in the vicinity of each school.
- Lead the team to recruit new families with specific applicant goals per grade level (3:1 ratio for open grade levels) while ensuring high-quality applications that lead to enrollment.
- Ensure all new families are effectively onboarded and supported throughout their first year.
- Comply with all federal, state, and organizational student registration requirements during the enrollment process (i.e., transfers, testing, etc.).
- Ensure new and existing families understand attendance expectations, particularly for PreK and Kinder families.
- Manage the team in implementing standardized accountability frameworks to ensure adherence to the outlined ADA policy at each school (i.e., escalation matrix, official attendance taking time, etc.).
- Track data on a daily and cumulative basis, making it visible to key stakeholders; identify trends and make targeted course corrections week-over-week.
- Implement best practices and leverage tracking mechanisms to positively impact ADA progress toward goals (PTGs).
- Collaborate with school lead teams to motivate and implement ADA plans for maximum impact.
- Comply with all federal and state ADA guidelines by performing regular audits, staying updated on changes in ADA policy and procedures, and effectively monitoring team members.
- Co-lead efforts with Academic Counselors to foster an environment where students learn, thrive, and enjoy their experience (school culture, praise and recognition, in and out of school events calendar, etc.).
- Implement an ongoing monitoring system that reviews and addresses parent and student feedback, particularly regarding non-instructional services and support.
- Manage new family onboarding from the time a parent applies to IDEA through their first year in our schools.
- Ensure all Auxiliary support services deliver exceptional customer service while achieving operational efficiency and financial targets.
- Indirectly manage and provide day-to-day tactical oversight and support in the areas of Transportation and Child Nutrition (CNP).
- Directly manage and coach Certified Nurse's Assistants (CNAs) and Facilities Managers.
- Responsible for managing all Beginning of Year (BOY) efforts with a specific focus on:
- 100% of positions filled, staff onboarded, and in attendance at summer training.
- 3.5 average score on both the parent and staff BOY surveys.
- ≥90 score on BOY quality scorecard.
