Job Title: Charge Nurse - Oncology Department

The Hospitals of Providence is seeking a skilled Oncology Charge Nurse (RN) to join our team in El Paso, Texas.

Job Summary

The Medical-Surgical Unit Registered Nurse is a professional nurse who coordinates the delivery of nursing care for pre/postoperative and medical patients through their hospital stay. The Registered Nurse participates in patient and family teaching, provides leadership by working cooperatively with ancillary and other patient team personnel in maintaining standards of professional nursing practice in the clinical setting.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate the delivery of nursing care for pre/postoperative and medical patients
  • Participate in patient and family teaching
  • Provide leadership and work cooperatively with ancillary and other patient team personnel
  • Maintain standards of professional nursing practice in the clinical setting
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
  • Current state registration or eligibility to do so
  • Current BLS for health care providers
  • Chemotherapy Certification by 12 months of hire
  • 1 year RN experience
