At American Career College, we are passionate about empowering students to make a difference in the lives of their patients. As a Pediatrics Simulation Faculty member, you will join a collaborative and student-centric culture that values academic integrity, mutual respect, and student learning.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver clinical instruction according to an approved course syllabus, using effective teaching methods and developing daily lesson plans.
  • Advise and tutor students, maintaining current and accurate attendance and grade records.
  • Remain current in applicable program teaching field and participate in faculty meetings, instructional seminars, and in-service training sessions.
  • Serve as an educator, role model, mentor, and facilitator, focusing on facilitating student learning associated with prescribed course and program learning outcomes.
Requirements:
  • 3 years of occupational experience in the subject field or in a closely related field.
  • Direct patient care experience within the previous five (5) years in the nursing area to which he or she is assigned.
  • Completion of at least one (1) year of experience teaching courses related to registered nursing or completion of a post-baccalaureate course which includes practice in teaching registered nursing.
  • Must demonstrate training in educational methods, testing and evaluation, and evidence strength in instructional methodology, delivery, and techniques.
Education and Licenses:
  • Baccalaureate degree from an accredited college which shall include courses in nursing, or in natural, behavioral, or social sciences relevant to nursing practice.
  • Current unencumbered Registered Nurse License in California required.
Compensation:

CA Salary Range: USD $59.52/Hr.
