At Ethos Veterinary Health, we're seeking a part-time Veterinary Technician to join our ER team on weekends. As a key member of our team, you'll play a vital role in providing exceptional care to our patients and their owners.
Responsibilities:- Triage and prioritize incoming patients to ensure timely and effective care.
- Stabilize patients in critical condition and provide life-saving interventions as needed.
- Assist with diagnostic procedures, including lab work and imaging studies.
- Administer medications and fluids, and provide wound care and post-surgical support.
- Monitor vital signs and report abnormalities to the veterinary team.
- Assist during surgeries and emergency procedures, and maintain a clean and safe environment.
- Communicate effectively with pet owners, providing education and support throughout the care process.
- Maintain accurate medical records and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with the veterinary team to provide comprehensive care and ensure seamless patient transitions.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 2+ years of clinical experience in the veterinary industry, with ER experience preferred.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Consistent and reliable ability to perform mathematical calculations for drug doses, CRIs, and other position-related calculations.
- California Veterinary Assistant Controlled Substance Permit (VACSP) required within 60 days of hire.
