Job Title: Pharmacy Technician Specialist Outpatient

Job Summary:

The University of Vermont Medical Center seeks a highly skilled Pharmacy Technician Specialist to join our Outpatient Pharmacy team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and support in various areas of specialty, including Compounded Sterile Products, Technician Training, IV Order Entry, Supply Room Maintenance, Outpatient Study, Controlled Substance and Infusion Pump Tracking, and Specialty Infusion Pharmacy.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support and training to pharmacy technicians in areas of specialty
  • Ensure accurate and timely preparation of compounded sterile products
  • Manage IV order entry and supply room maintenance
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of quality improvement initiatives
  • Collaborate with the Home Infusion Manager to ensure seamless integration of services
  • Maintain accurate records and communicate effectively with team members and patients

Requirements:

  • High School / GED plus one year of post-high school education or related work experience
  • National Certification required for Home Infusion
  • Pharmacy Technician Registration/License with the State of Vermont Board of Pharmacy
  • 3-5 years experience as a Senior Pharmacy Technician preferred
