Seeking a Registered Nurse or LPN to join our team at Nebraska Oral & Facial Surgery. The successful candidate will perform routine nursing duties and assist with related responsibilities in providing patient care in a surgical setting.

  • Conduct comprehensive interviews to obtain patients' health histories.
  • Maintain accurate records and prepare detailed oral reports.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to achieve unit goals by utilizing community relationships and individual contacts to enhance understanding of health services.
  • Prepare, administer, and record medications as prescribed.
  • Monitor patients' vital signs closely.
  • Prepare materials and equipment for clinical sessions and ensure adequate supply levels.
  • Clean and maintain clinical equipment while disposing of used supplies correctly.
  • Assist in patient recovery and discharge processes.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:

  • A current state license is required for this role.
  • BLS certification is mandatory, while ACLS certification is preferred or can be obtained within 6 months of employment.
  • A minimum of two years of experience is preferred but not necessary.

Skills and Abilities:

  • The ability to observe patients' general physical condition to detect signs of abnormalities.
  • Accurate and legible recording of operations.
  • Effective communication in person and over the phone.
  • Exercising tact, initiative, and good judgment.
  • Multitasking and prioritizing work efficiently.
  • Experience with intravenous medications.
