Responsibilities:

  • Assess and reassess patients based on their presenting problems and needs, utilizing critical thinking and sound judgment.
  • Synthesize patient data to identify nursing priorities for care and desired outcomes.
  • Develop and implement individualized plans of care, incorporating appropriate standards of care and evidence-based practices.
  • Provide education and support to patients and families, promoting health literacy and empowerment.
  • Evaluate patient progress and outcomes, making adjustments to the plan of care as needed.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless transitions of care and optimize patient outcomes.

Qualifications:

  • Masters degree in Nursing or related field required; Doctoral degree preferred.
  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in Nebraska or approved compact state.
  • Certification as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) required; Certification in Emergency Nursing (CEN) or other relevant certifications desirable.
  • Minimum 2 years' experience as a Nurse Practitioner in emergency nursing; Leadership experience and training in quality improvement and patient safety a plus.
