As an Advanced Clinical Nurse Practitioner on our Bryan Plaza Family Medicine team, you will play a vital role in assisting physicians with examinations and procedures to serve the medical needs of patients with various health conditions.

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Advanced Clinical Nurse Practitioner to join our team at Bryan Plaza Family Medicine. In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating the flow of patients, phone calls, lab work, and nurse visits to facilitate quality patient care and customer service goals. You will also provide professional nursing care as prescribed by the physician and in compliance with the Nebraska Nurse Practice Act, any applicable licensure/certification requirement, and organizational policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Commit to the mission, vision, beliefs, and consistently demonstrate our core values.
  2. Maintain the flow of patients in accordance with their appointment times to avoid delays for the provider and undue waiting for patients.
  3. Collect subjective and objective data and contribute to the assessment of the patient; document appropriately in the patient chart.
  4. Make accurate and timely observations and document changes in the patient's condition in the patient chart.
  5. Retrieve messages and respond to calls from patients, pharmacies, hospitals, nursing homes, and other medical offices by using the telephone and computer in a timely manner as delegated by the licensed healthcare provider (MD, PA, NP).
  6. Assist the medical provider with all examinations and procedures.
  7. Keep the exam rooms clean, disinfected, and stocked with necessary supplies.
  8. Schedule follow-up procedures/appointments and specialty appointments.
  9. Explain tests and preparation as needed for adequate patient education.
  10. Monitor inventory of supplies and communicate information to the Office Manager.
  11. Administer injections, vital signs, vision, and auditory testing as delegated.
  12. Perform other related projects and duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Maintain clinical competency as required for Registered Nurse licensure.
  • Knowledge of nursing and clinical systems.
  • Knowledge of federal and state regulations related to nursing practice, OSHA, and HIPAA requirements.
  • Knowledge of computer hardware equipment and software applications relevant to work functions.
  • Knowledge of quality metrics.
  • Skill in organizing work to achieve clinic goals and meet patient/medical provider needs.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to work as a team member.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of patient information.
  • Ability to integrate new work processes and adapt to change.
  • Ability to exercise courtesy, tact, and professionalism.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment relevant to changing patient needs.
  • Ability to maintain regular and punctual attendance.

Education and Experience:

Graduation from an accredited professional nursing program is required. Current Registered Nurse licensure from the State of Nebraska or approved compact state of residence as defined by the Nebraska Nurse Practice Act is also required.

Salary Range:$65,000-$85,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
