As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the entire kitchen operation, ensuring exceptional guest experiences, and driving innovation in our culinary offerings.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement menus that showcase our culinary expertise and exceed guest expectations.
- Lead a high-performing kitchen team, providing guidance, coaching, and development opportunities to ensure exceptional service and quality.
- Collaborate with our culinary team to create new and exciting menu items, specials, and promotions.
- Manage kitchen operations, including inventory, ordering, and supply chain management.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, as well as company policies and procedures.
- Develop and maintain relationships with local suppliers and vendors to ensure the highest quality ingredients and products.
- Monitor and control kitchen expenses, including labor, inventory, and equipment maintenance.
- Participate in menu engineering, pricing, and profitability analysis to optimize kitchen performance.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, culinary techniques, and best practices to continuously improve our culinary offerings.
Requirements
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a high-end restaurant or hotel setting.
- Post-secondary diploma or degree in culinary arts or a related field.
- Advanced knowledge of culinary operations, including menu planning, inventory management, and kitchen management.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to think critically and make informed decisions.
- Flexibility and adaptability, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet the demands of a 24-hour operation.
