Maintenance Technician Job Overview

VAM USA is looking for a committed Maintenance Technician to become an integral part of our workforce. In this role, you will be tasked with overseeing the routine upkeep and repair of machinery. Your primary responsibilities will include managing the preventive maintenance schedule, diagnosing and fixing equipment issues, and ensuring adherence to all applicable regulations and standards.

Primary Duties:
  • Conduct scheduled preventive maintenance on machinery
  • Identify and resolve equipment malfunctions
  • Evaluate equipment performance following repairs
  • Execute electrical and mechanical repairs and installations
  • Install piping systems and carry out hydraulic tasks
  • Service and maintain high-pressure equipment
  • Oversee on-site contractor activities
  • Employ hand and power tools for maintenance operations
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation
  • Interpret technical manuals and schematics
  • Support the Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) program and provide training
  • Adhere to work instructions, specifications, and organizational policies
Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in electrical and mechanical maintenance
  • Familiarity with Smartsheet and Excel software
  • At least 3 years of experience in maintenance roles
  • Educational background in mechanics or related disciplines
  • Capability to lift items weighing up to 50 lbs
  • Strong aptitude for understanding and following instructions
