As a vital member of the surgical team, the Surgical Services Technician operates under the guidance of a Registered Nurse, contributing to the efficient delivery of care in the perioperative environment.
This role involves executing both direct and indirect nursing tasks for patients undergoing surgical or endoscopic interventions. The technician is responsible for ensuring comprehensive care for all patients in the Operating Room, Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU), and Outpatient Surgery during their assigned shifts.
Key Qualifications:
- A high school diploma or GED is mandatory.
- Current BLS certification is required.
- Previous experience as a Surgical Technician is preferred; military experience is also acceptable.
- A valid driver’s license is necessary.
- Proficiency in computer operations is advantageous.
- Must possess a valid certification as a surgical technologist.
