Job Title: Steward/Dishwasher

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Steward/Dishwasher to join our team at the Omni Charlottesville Hotel. As a key member of our food and beverage team, you will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and sanitation in our kitchen and dishroom areas.

Responsibilities:
  • Wash and sanitize all dishes, pots, and serving containers, as well as tools and utensils, to ensure a clean and safe work environment.
  • Maintain a clean and organized dishroom, including sweeping and mopping floors, and washing worktables and walls.
  • Polish silverware using chemical dip, buffing wheel, and hand cloth, as assigned.
  • Ensure compliance with outlined safety procedures and maintain temperatures and chemical levels as outlined by provided standards.
  • Transfer supplies and equipment between storage and work areas, and help load and unload supplies and product.
Requirements:
  • Ability to regularly lift boxes up to 50 lbs.
  • Comprehension and execution of correct set up and use of all dishwashing equipment.
  • Understanding and execution of food safety and sanitation protocols.
  • Standing, stooping, kneeling, walking, wiping, reaching, bending, and lifting are required actions throughout a shift.
  • Ability to multi-task and handle multiple priorities during the shift.
