Job Title: Steward/Dishwasher

Job Summary:

The Steward/Dishwasher is responsible for maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment by washing and sanitizing dishes, pots, and utensils. This role requires attention to detail, strong work ethic, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Wash and sanitize all dishes, pots, and utensils to ensure cleanliness and safety
  • Maintain a clean and organized dishroom, including sweeping and mopping floors
  • Polish silverware using chemical dip and buffing wheel
  • Ensure compliance with safety procedures and maintain temperatures and chemical levels as outlined by standards
  • Transfer supplies and equipment between storage and work areas
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Ability to regularly lift boxes up to 50 lbs
  • Comprehension and execution of correct set up and use of all dishwashing equipment
  • Understanding and execution of food safety and sanitation protocols
  • Ability to multi-task and handle multiple priorities during the shift
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time and fast movement

Working Conditions:

The Steward/Dishwasher will work in a fast-paced kitchen environment with exposure to heat, steam, and chemicals. The role requires standing for long periods, lifting, and bending.
