Job Summary

As a Telemental Health Clinician ER Hybrid FT Day with Atrium Health, you will provide virtual behavioral health services to patients in need. Your primary responsibility will be to respond to referrals and requests for Behavioral Health Service Line services, conducting clinical screenings as necessary to determine the best course of action.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and psychosocial evaluations of patients using established criteria to determine the most effective treatment plan.
  • Develop and implement crisis plans for high-risk patients, utilizing evidence-based interventions to ensure patient safety and well-being.
  • Stay current with the latest research and best practices in behavioral health, incorporating new knowledge into your clinical practice.
  • Identify and address barriers to patients seeking and receiving behavioral health services, working to increase access and equity.
  • Adhere to professional standards and codes of ethics, maintaining the highest level of integrity and professionalism in your practice.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams, ensuring clear and concise information exchange.
  • Document patient progress and assessment updates in the medical record, adhering to departmental standards and guidelines.
  • Exercise sound judgment and decision-making skills in fast-paced environments, prioritizing patient needs and safety.

Physical Requirements

This role requires frequent movement between various areas, including patient care units, emergency rooms, and conference spaces. You will also work in the Call Center, interacting with patients and staff in a dynamic and potentially challenging environment.

Education and Experience

A Master's degree in a relevant human services field, such as Social Work, Counseling, or Psychology, is required. Full licensure in the state of North Carolina is also necessary. Two years of clinical experience are preferred, but not required.
