About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Residential Instructor to join our team at Community Residences. As a Residential Instructor, you will play a vital role in providing support and guidance to individuals with developmental disabilities in a residential setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Create a nurturing environment that promotes independence and coping skills for individuals with developmental disabilities.
  • Implement Individual Plans of Care and follow-along plans based on interdisciplinary team input, documenting progress and barriers to success.
  • Monitor medical, physical, and behavioral changes in individuals, reporting concerns to supervisors and maintaining accurate documentation.

Additional Duties:

  • Administer medication to clients according to prescribed schedules and agency policies.
  • Maintain a safe and clean living environment, adhering to health and safety standards.
  • Participate in training opportunities to enhance professional growth and stay updated on industry developments.
Requirements and Qualifications

To be successful as a Residential Instructor, you should possess:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent, with at least two years of experience in human services preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse individuals and teams.
  • A valid CT driver's license and good driving record, with reliable transportation for transporting clients.

Salary Range: $32,000 - $40,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience.
