Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Resource Planning Manager to join our team at McDonald's. As a key member of our Operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the allocation and management of resources to ensure the successful completion of programs and initiatives within the Delivery Office.

Key Responsibilities
  • Resource Allocation and Planning: Develop and implement resource allocation and planning strategies that align with the Delivery Office Chapter goals and objectives.
  • Forecasting and Budgeting: Create and lead an 18-month rolling forecast of internal Software Development Engineer (SDE) staffing needs, categorized by Chapter and under the supervision of the Senior Director of Tech Leads.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with teams in Engineering Enablement and DevOps to understand their resource needs, identify areas of support, and align resource allocation plans accordingly.
  • Resource Utilization and Optimization: Supervise resource utilization across the Delivery Office and find opportunities for optimization and cost savings with the Chapters.
  • Problem-Solving and Analysis: Identify and prioritize resource constraints and work with key partners to develop solutions to mitigate those constraints.
  • Reporting and Data Management: Develop and maintain resource tracking tools and systems, including databases and software, to ensure accurate and up-to-date resource data.
  • Stakeholder Management: Provide regular reports and updates on resource utilization, availability, and allocation to key partners, including executive leadership.
Requirements
  • Experience: A minimum of 5 years of experience in resource allocation and planning, preferably in a project-based environment.
  • Skills: Strong analytical skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and proficiency in project management software, resource management tools, and database management systems.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field.
