Lead Transportation Engineer/Project Manager

Job Summary:

NV5 is seeking a highly skilled Lead Transportation Engineer/Project Manager to lead and support the growth of our Transportation Infrastructure design projects in Southern California.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and conduct work that requires keen judgment and devise new approaches to solve design problems.
  • Oversee assigned projects and lead teams in planning and conducting complex projects for local and national clients.
  • Perform design and contribute to engineering teams in the delivery of Transportation/Roadway design projects.
  • Develop and maintain client relationships and interact with clients in all aspects of project delivery.
  • Participate in business development activities, including preparation of proposals, capture planning, client meetings, and participation in professional organizations.
  • Lead the development of projects from inception to completion by defining scope, schedule, and budget in alignment with client strategic goals.
  • Provide ongoing engineering review and evaluation of designs for compliance with criteria, standards, and specifications on each project.
  • Be responsive and proactive, managing engineering activities to comply with budgets and schedules.
Requirements:
  • B.S. Degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
  • 7+ years of transportation/roadway design engineering experience.
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD and/or MicroStation design software.
  • Professional Engineering (PE) license in the state of California or ability to obtain reciprocity within 6 months of hire date.
Compensation:

Base pay offered may be higher or lower depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience of the candidate. Restricted stock units may be provided as part of the compensation package.
