Job Summary:



As a Roadway Design Engineer at CONSOR Engineers, you will play a key role in supporting transportation improvement projects. This involves designing and detailing local, county, and state roadway and highway projects. You will work closely with the project manager to ensure that all design criteria and standards are met.



Key Responsibilities:





  • Develop typical sections, alignments, profiles, layouts, and cross-sections for various transportation projects.

  • Support the design team in creating design documentation, plans, and reports for specific tasks and quantity calculations.

  • Ensure compliance with applicable codes and engineering practices for all projects.

  • Perform engineering calculations and estimates for transportation projects.

  • Collect and process data for topographic surveys and right-of-way engineering for use in design analysis.



Requirements:



To be successful in this role, you must have a Bachelor of Science in Civil or Structural Engineering. A minimum of eight years of transportation engineering experience is also required. Additionally, you must be a Professional Engineer (PE) and proficient in AutoCad and Civil3D software. You will work in a hybrid environment, with some time spent in the office and some in the field. You must be able to lift up to 35 pounds and occasionally work in inclement weather.
