As a Transportation Structural Engineer, you'll play a key role in designing and analyzing transportation infrastructure projects, ensuring they meet the highest standards of safety and efficiency.

As a member of our team, you'll have the opportunity to work on a wide range of projects, from bridges and highways to public transportation systems. You'll be responsible for reviewing structural construction submittals, shop drawings, and rebar lists, as well as coordinating with field staff and other project stakeholders.

With a strong background in civil engineering and a focus on structural design, you'll be able to develop and implement effective solutions that meet the needs of our clients. Your analytical and problem-solving skills will be essential in this role, as you'll need to identify and address potential issues before they become major problems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and analyze transportation infrastructure projects, including bridges, highways, and public transportation systems
  • Review structural construction submittals, shop drawings, and rebar lists
  • Coordinate with field staff and other project stakeholders
  • Develop and implement effective solutions that meet client needs
  • Identify and address potential issues before they become major problems

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in civil engineering with a focus on structural design
  • 3-7 years of experience in transportation structural design
  • Proficiency in CAD and other PC software packages typically associated with engineering
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment

Preferred Qualifications:

  • California PE license or ability to obtain within one year
  • Previous experience in structural design and evaluations, with experience during the construction phase
  • Knowledge of reinforced concrete design, prestressed and post-tensioned concrete design
  • Knowledge of and experience with Midas Civil, LPile, other structural design programs, and Microstation and/or AutoCAD
