Medical Records Director

The Director of Medical Records is responsible for overseeing the management and maintenance of patient medical records, ensuring compliance with state and federal laws, as well as Joint Commission standards for quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Analyze the quality of medical records to ensure inclusion and completion of required information for reimbursement and continuity of patient care.
- Provide expert consultative services to hospital staff regarding medical records.
- Function in a manner consistent with the philosophy and objectives of Centennial Peaks Hospital.
A Bachelor's Degree in Health Information Management or a related field is preferred. A minimum of five years of leadership experience in information management is required, with direct experience in a healthcare psychiatric facility preferred.
Certification as a medical record professional, such as Registered Health Information Technologist (RHIT) or Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA), is also required.
Current CPR or BLS certification or the ability to learn is also necessary.
