We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Services Operations Center Administrator to join our team in Longmont, CO.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and troubleshoot the entire IT stack, including data center, network, storage, servers, and applications/services.
- Communicate issues and status to relevant personnel.
- Perform system administration duties for initial troubleshooting of all issues.
- Work closely with internal Maxar departments, including IT, problem management, customer service, data operations center, and software development.
Requirements
- Must be a U.S. citizen with a current/active Secret security clearance.
- Must have an active Security+ certification or be able to obtain one in the first 6 months of employment.
- Must be willing and able to pass a CI Polygraph.
- Associate's degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of technical troubleshooting experience.
- Ability to accommodate a weekly day or night shift that includes one weekend day per week.
Preferred Skills
- Advanced understanding of networking, firewalls, routing, remote site connectivity, and applicable troubleshooting practices.
- Experience with RedHat, LDAP, Satellite, Puppet, DNS.
- Experience with Active Directory.
- Experience with VMWare and Virtual Servers.
- Knowledge of data/IP networking and protocols (OSPF, BGP, GRE, TCP, FTP, FCIP, NFS).
- Work experience with Python.
- Work experience with AWS.
- Strong critical thinking and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong business acumen, client-service, and results orientation.
- Ability to think both strategically while also executing tactically.
- Positive history of building positive relationships, both internally and externally.
