About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Relief Veterinarian to join our team at the ASPCA. As a Relief Veterinarian, you will provide high-quality, compassionate care to animals in need, working in underserved communities throughout Los Angeles.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide medical care to animals, including physical examinations, diagnostics, treatment recommendations, and delivery of care
  • Perform spay/neuter surgical procedures and other minor outpatient surgeries
  • Diagnose and treat post-surgical medical complications
  • Communicate effectively with clients, providing clear and compassionate information about their pets' care
  • Work collaboratively with our team to ensure the highest level of care for animals in our community
Requirements
  • Current California State Veterinary License
  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree or equivalent
  • Experience in general small animal practice or shelter medicine
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
