Your Responsibilities:
The Mid-Level Geologist will play a crucial role in managing and providing technical support for environmental assessments and remediation projects for various clients, including federal, state, municipal, and commercial entities. Key responsibilities include:

  • Reviewing and implementing site-specific work plans and scopes of work.
  • Conducting field investigations, including soil, water, and air sampling, drilling, well installation, and supervising subcontractors.
  • Overseeing construction and remedial actions while managing personnel in the field.

Interpreting geological, hydrogeological, and environmental chemical data is essential for this role. Proficiency in databases, spreadsheets, GIS, and hydrogeologic software applications, such as Aqtesolv and Earth Volumetric Studio, is highly desirable. These skills will be utilized in preparing technical deliverables, including reports, proposals, and cost estimates.

Qualifications:
To be successful in this position, candidates should possess:
  • 7-15 years of experience in environmental consulting, with a proven track record of increasing responsibility.
  • Experience in conducting Phase I ESAs, Phase II Site Investigations, UST compliance monitoring, and vapor intrusion assessments.
  • Strong technical writing skills and the ability to prepare detailed reports and diagrams.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to document and communicate site conditions effectively.
  • Experience interfacing with clients and managing subcontractors.
  • Preferred knowledge of the conceptual site model process and experience with CERCLA RI/FS and PA/SI.
  • Project management training or experience.
  • Ability to assist with cost estimating and vendor bidding.
  • Strong communication skills and a positive, resourceful attitude.

Education and Certifications:
Candidates should have:
  • A BS/BA degree in Geology or a related field; a Master's degree is preferred.
  • OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER Training and OSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety Training are preferred.

Physical Demands:
Candidates must be able to navigate large project sites and carry equipment weighing up to 35 pounds. Fieldwork may occur in various weather conditions and terrains.
