Senior Histology Associate Opportunity

Randstad Life Sciences US is seeking a highly skilled Senior Histology Associate to join our team in South San Francisco, CA. As a key member of our Translational Safety & Bioanalytical Sciences Department, you will play a critical role in leading histology workflows to support portfolio-related questions on target expression and preclinical model development.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage histology preparation of specimens, including documentation in required lab information systems and databases, as well as team communications.
  • Create documentation for sample grossing and embedding with guidance from team members.
  • Perform tasks related to fixation and processing of specimens, quality control on all stained slides.
  • Request digital scanning of slides and organize images in database for review by team members.
  • Maintain equipment and perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  • Master's degree (MS) and 0+ years' relevant experience, OR Bachelor's degree (BS) and two (2) or more years' relevant experience.
  • One (1) or more years' experience in Histology / Pathology laboratory.
  • Hands-on experience of staining techniques and familiarity with reagents.
  • Experience in documentation, analysis, interpretation, and presentation of data generated from tissue-based target expression experiments with a variety of statistical approaches.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Basic laboratory experience.
  • Animal tissue experience or animal anatomy knowledge is not required but is preferred.
