Industrial HVAC Engineer

Mead & Hunt, a leading professional services consulting firm, is seeking a highly skilled Industrial HVAC Engineer to join our Food & Beverage Group.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct site surveys of food and beverage plant HVAC systems to identify areas for improvement.
- Develop system sanitary requirements for food production spaces, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
- Determine equipment technology and strategies for moisture control and energy reduction, minimizing environmental impact.
- Produce heat load calculations for production, downtime, and cleanup modes, ensuring efficient system operation.
- Create psychrometric calculations and charts for food process area conditions, optimizing system performance.
- Develop instrument points lists and sequence of operation, ensuring seamless system integration.
- Prepare project documentation, including drawings, air flow diagrams, equipment schedules, details, specifications, scope of work, and more.
- Coordinate with outside equipment suppliers, subcontractors, and clients to ensure timely delivery and quotation parameters.
- Frequent travel (30-40%) will be required to support project needs.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree (or higher) in mechanical engineering from an accredited college or university.
- At least four years of relevant industrial HVAC engineering experience.
- Preferred qualifications include on-site experience integrating equipment into existing systems, specification of sanitary air handling equipment, and experience developing Air Flow Diagrams for food and/or industrial projects.
What We Offer:
- A competitive salary range of $95,000 - $115,000 (commensurate with experience).
