Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Diagnostic Imaging Specialist to join our team at Magnet Medical in Asheville, North Carolina. As a travel CT Technologist, you will be responsible for operating computed tomography scanners to perform diagnostic imaging procedures for patients.

About the Job:

This is a 26-week contract with 12-hour shifts and 36 hours of work per week. The job involves working nights and requires flexibility and adaptability. You will be part of a dynamic team that prioritizes patient safety and comfort while delivering high-quality imaging services.

Responsibilities:
  • Patient Preparation and Communication: Ensure patient comfort and safety during imaging procedures, verify patient information, and position patients correctly on the CT table.
  • Operation of CT Equipment: Operate and calibrate the CT scanner, administer contrast agents, and monitor equipment during imaging.
  • Image Quality and Review: Review images for quality, work with radiologists to ensure image clarity, and repeat or adjust scans as necessary.
  • Patient Safety and Comfort: Follow safety protocols, maintain a sterile environment, and ensure proper patient positioning to prevent injury or discomfort.
Requirements:
  • Operate CT scanners to obtain diagnostic images of patients.
  • Prepare patients for imaging procedures, including explaining the process and ensuring they are comfortable.
  • Maintain accurate records of patient information, scan parameters, and any complications.
Estimated Salary:

The estimated salary for this position is $150,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
