Clinical Assistant Professor

We are seeking a highly qualified Clinical Assistant Professor to join our team in the Division of Comprehensive Care at the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry. As a Clinical Assistant Professor, you will be responsible for teaching and directing pre-doctoral students in the comprehensive assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, and treatment management of patients. You will also oversee students to ensure patients receive excellent care, students receive a clinical education that meets the standards of each dental discipline, and resources are used efficiently.
Key Responsibilities- Teach and direct pre-doctoral students in comprehensive care clinics
- Oversee student performance and ensure high-quality patient care
- Assist students in generating comprehensive treatment plans
- Evaluate the quality and timeliness of care provided to patients
- Promote a humanistic environment that advances diversity and inclusion
- Coordinate and promote a collaborative clinical educational environment
We are looking for a candidate with a DDS, DMD, or recognized international equivalent degree, and a Minnesota dental license or eligibility for licensure by start date. The ideal candidate will have strong interpersonal skills, excellent communication skills, and the ability to teach all aspects of general dentistry. A minimum of 3 years of experience in clinical practice is required, with experience teaching/supervising students in an academic setting being a plus.
