Plasma Center Medical Support Specialist

As a Medical Support Specialist at BioLife Plasma Services, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our plasma donation centers. Your primary responsibility will be to support the plasma center manager and perform medical support tasks to ensure the highest level of customer service and quality.
Key Responsibilities- Determine donor eligibility to donate plasma, including proper management of informed consent, medical history interview, and physical examination.
- Manage donor adverse events, review laboratory test results, and notify donors of unsuitable test results.
- Work under the guidance of the Center Manager and Center Physician for operational and medical guidance.
- Follow applicable SOPs for medical emergencies, including the development of Center Physician's standing orders and donor transport to emergency care facilities.
- Support the Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu vaccination programs for employees.
- Manage employee incidents and determine whether further evaluation is required by occupational health/ER.
- High school diploma or equivalent, including a graduate equivalent of a recognized educational nursing program with state requirements.
- Currently licensed or certified in the state where responsibilities will be assigned: EMT-Paramedic.
- Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and AED certification.
- Fulfill state requirements (in state of licensure) for basic IV therapy.
- Satisfactorily complete the FDA approved training requirements for BioLife Medical Support Specialist.
- Two years in a clinical or hospital setting.

We are committed to equitable pay for all employees, and we strive to be more transparent with our pay practices. The estimated hourly wage range for this position is $29.09.
