The FICC Technology Team is seeking a highly skilled Java developer to join our team and contribute to the development of our Next Generation Market Data Plant. This project aims to create a high-performance market data infrastructure that will enable low-latency algorithmic trading and provide a central source for real-time and historical market data.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Java development, particularly in low-latency environments. They will be responsible for designing and implementing efficient and resilient market data infrastructure, integrating FPGA-based vendor APIs with internal applications, and developing and supporting Market Data Distribution frameworks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement efficient market data infrastructure for low-latency trading
  • Integrate FPGA-based vendor APIs with internal applications
  • Develop and support Market Data Distribution frameworks
  • Automate production deployment using CI/CD pipelines

Requirements:

  • Extensive Java development experience
  • 2-5 years of experience in low-latency Java development
  • Strong knowledge of computer science fundamentals and data structures
  • Good understanding of low-latency design and implementation
  • Experience with Java memory model and concurrency
  • Good understanding of Java techniques for achieving low latency
  • Substantial experience with Java NIO and Direct Buffer API
  • Good understanding of Linux operating system from application development perspective

Desired Skills:

  • Experience in building resilient, scalable, and high-performing multithreaded applications
  • Knowledge and/or experience with JNI
  • Experience with Market Data Feed Handlers
  • Experience with network protocols (TCP, Multicast)
  • Experience with Jenkins and CI/CD
  • Unix and Python scripting
