Position Summary

United Philanthropy Forum is seeking a highly motivated and organized Knowledge Services Associate to support the Forum's Knowledge Management (KM) Collaborative. The successful candidate will work closely with the Senior Manager of Knowledge Services and the Knowledge Services team to deliver high-quality programs and services that advance the Forum's mission to catalyze a just and courageous philanthropic sector.

The Knowledge Services Associate will be responsible for producing the KM Collaborative's bi-weekly Office Hours programming, coordinating the annual Users Group convening, and engaging with KM Partners to ensure their needs are met. This role requires strong engagement skills, the ability to create effective written and verbal content, and a commitment to racial equity and inclusion.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement the KM Collaborative's bi-weekly Office Hours programming, including coordinating speakers, materials, and logistics.
  • Coordinate the annual Users Group convening, including planning, execution, and follow-up.
  • Engage with KM Partners to understand their needs and preferences, and provide support and resources as needed.
  • Assist with the development of the Knowledge Services communications plan and long-term strategy, including identification and tracking of key performance indicators.
  • Contribute to various routine Knowledge Services team reporting for the CEO, Board, committees, and other stakeholders.
Requirements
  • Deep interest in knowledge management and its application in the philanthropic sector.
  • Proficiency in the use of applications and platforms for word processing, spreadsheet calculations, presentations, project management, surveys and evaluations, videoconferencing, and document management.
  • Strong engagement skills, with the ability to own and take initiative of meaningful 1:1, small group, and large group meetings.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to create effective written, verbal, and web content for internal and external audiences.
  • Highly organized, motivated, and detail-oriented, with the ability to set priorities, develop schedules, and monitor progress toward goals.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Work experience in the nonprofit, membership association, and/or philanthropy sector.
  • Experience with CRMs and CMS platforms.
  • Experience with email marketing platforms.
