Key Responsibilities- Food Preparation: Prepare quality food and baked goods according to a planned menu, ensuring that all dishes meet the highest standards of taste and presentation.
- Record Keeping: Prepare a daily report that verifies transactions, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
- Customer Service: Understand what is inclusive of a meal, ensuring that customers receive the best possible service.
- Sanitation and Safety: Ensure storage of food in an accurate and sanitary manner, adhering to all food safety regulations for sanitation, food handling, and storage.
- Equipment Maintenance: Use and care of kitchen equipment, especially knives, to ensure that all equipment is in good working order.
- Cleaning and Organization: Timely preparation of a variety of food items, beverages, and garnishments to ensure customer happiness and eye appeal, as well as coordinate and assist in major cleaning of refrigerators, freezers, and cooking and serving equipment.
- Communication: Connect with the Manager daily to understand and accurately prepare menu for the day, as well as adhere to the uniform policy.
- Quality Control: Supervise the food temperature requirements, maintain a clean and organized work and storage area, and scrub and polish counters, clean and sanitize steam tables, and other equipment.
- Teamwork: Follow established procedures and standards for cleanliness, to ensure a balanced and safe environment, and perform other duties as assigned, including other areas in the kitchen.
- Education: Sufficient education or training to read, write, and follow verbal and written instructions.
- Food Service Certificate: As needed.
- Physical Demands: This role may have physical demands including, but not limited to, lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and/or extended walking and standing.
