Role Summary

The primary objective of this position is to uphold the utmost standards of cleanliness and upkeep of hotel guest accommodations, ensuring an exceptional experience for our visitors. Responsibilities include providing fresh linens, towels, and essential amenities while adhering to the highest cleanliness standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform cleaning duties for all assigned guest rooms within designated timeframes.
  • Maintain and update daily task sheets throughout the shift, submitting them along with keys to the Housekeeping Supervisor at the end of the day.
  • Change and arrange bed linens, ensuring beds are properly made.
  • Restock room supplies, including toiletries and drinking glasses.
  • Move and arrange furniture as necessary.
  • Utilize vacuum cleaners and appropriate cleaning agents to clean carpets and upholstered items.
  • Dust and sanitize all surfaces, including furniture, fixtures, and electronic devices.
  • Thoroughly clean bathrooms, including showers, sinks, floors, and toilets.
  • Polish metal fixtures and woodwork.
  • Clean windows and door frames.
  • Empty trash receptacles.
  • Restock bathroom supplies and towels.
  • Sort, count, and distribute linens to designated areas.
  • Organize cleaning carts and maintain cleanliness in linen closets.
  • Transport waste to disposal areas.
  • Engage in deep cleaning tasks as outlined in the hotel's cleaning program.
  • Maintain cleanliness in hallways, restrooms, elevators, and other common areas.
  • Conduct general cleaning tasks using standard hotel cleaning products to comply with health regulations.
  • Report lost and found items according to established procedures.
  • Familiarize oneself with the hotel's emergency protocols and loss prevention guidelines.
  • Notify maintenance of any issues or necessary repairs in guest rooms, ensuring that unacceptable rooms are not returned to inventory until resolved.
  • Ensure the work area is tidy upon completion of tasks.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
Supportive Duties

In addition to the essential functions, this role may involve:
  • Assisting with guest inquiries.
  • Adhering to all company policies regarding safety and security.
  • Reporting maintenance issues, safety hazards, or incidents.
  • Carrying out other reasonable tasks as requested by supervisors.
Physical Requirements
  • Work is primarily indoors, with moderate temperature control.
  • Ability to stand and move efficiently for extended periods.
  • Capability to lift up to 45 lbs. and maneuver carts weighing up to 250 lbs.
  • Requires dexterity for operating cleaning equipment and office tools.
  • Ability to observe and respond to various situations, ensuring guest safety and satisfaction.
Qualifications

Education

High school diploma or equivalent is required.

Experience
  • Previous experience in the hospitality sector is preferred.

Attendance Policy

Consistent attendance is crucial for the success of this role. Staff members are expected to comply with attendance standards and participate in all required training sessions.
