Position Summary

The primary responsibility of this role is to uphold the highest standards of cleanliness and maintenance in hotel guest accommodations, ensuring an exceptional experience for our visitors. This includes providing fresh linens, towels, and essential amenities while consistently adhering to cleanliness protocols.

Key Responsibilities
  • Thoroughly clean and prepare assigned guest rooms within designated timeframes.
  • Maintain and update daily task lists, submitting completed assignments to the Housekeeping Supervisor at shift's end.
  • Change and arrange bed linens, ensuring beds are properly made.
  • Restock room supplies, including toiletries and drinking glasses.
  • Assist in moving furniture as necessary for cleaning purposes.
  • Utilize appropriate cleaning methods for carpets, rugs, and upholstered furniture.
  • Dust and sanitize all surfaces, including furniture, fixtures, and electronics.
  • Ensure bathrooms are meticulously cleaned, including all fixtures and surfaces.
  • Polish and maintain the appearance of wood and metal fixtures.
  • Clean windows and door frames to maintain a pristine environment.
  • Empty and dispose of waste in a timely manner.
  • Restock bathroom supplies and towels as needed.
  • Organize and manage cleaning supplies and linen closets.
  • Transport waste to designated disposal areas.
  • Participate in deep cleaning initiatives as outlined by hotel standards.
  • Maintain cleanliness in common areas, including hallways and restrooms.
  • Utilize standard cleaning products while adhering to health and safety regulations.
  • Document and report lost items according to hotel procedures.
  • Familiarize oneself with emergency protocols and loss prevention measures.
  • Identify and report maintenance needs and ensure rooms are not released until issues are resolved.
  • Maintain a tidy work area upon completion of tasks.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
Supportive Duties

In addition to the primary responsibilities, this role may involve:
  • Assisting guests with inquiries and requests.
  • Adhering to all safety and security policies.
  • Reporting any maintenance issues or safety hazards.
  • Completing other reasonable tasks as directed by supervisors.
Physical Requirements
  • Work is primarily indoors, with a controlled environment.
  • Ability to stand and move for extended periods.
  • Capable of lifting up to 45 lbs. and maneuvering equipment weighing up to 250 lbs.
  • Requires a range of physical activities including bending, climbing, and reaching.
  • Must possess good hearing and visual acuity for safety and quality assurance.

Education

High school diploma or equivalent is required.

Experience
  • Previous experience in the hospitality sector is preferred.

All staff members are expected to maintain a professional appearance in accordance with Azul Hospitality's grooming standards.

Attendance Policy

Consistent attendance is crucial for this role, and adherence to scheduled shifts is expected. Staff members must comply with hotel policies and procedures for operational efficiency.
