Key Responsibilities:- Conduct Diagnostic Assessments: Evaluate clients' mental condition based on review of client information, interviews, observation, tests, and collaboration with other staff members to perform clinical assessments and develop treatment plans.
- Provide Therapy and Counseling Services: Guide clients in the development of skills and strategies for dealing with their problems, encourage clients to express their feelings and discuss what is happening in their lives, and help them to develop insight into themselves and their relationships.
- Develop and Implement Treatment Plans: Develop and implement treatment plans based on DA, clinical experience, and knowledge, and modify treatment activities and approaches as needed to comply with changes in clients' status.
- Collaborate with Other Staff Members: Meet with families, school staff, probation officers, law enforcement, and other interested parties to exchange necessary information during the treatment process.
- Maintain Accurate Records: Maintain all professional licensure(s) required and provide prompt cooperation with third-party credentialing for billing purposes, maintain up-to-date client and program records as required, and prepare monthly written reports on demographics, presenting issues, and outcomes.
- 2+ Years' Experience: 2+ years' experience with providing diagnostic assessment and therapy services to a full range of individuals from youth through adulthood or working as a social worker.
- Valid License: Valid license as an LCPC.
- Maintain Professional Licensure: Maintain professional licensure and/or certification throughout employment with this agency.
- Flexibility: Must be able to work flexible work schedule including evenings and weekends on occasion.
- Excellent Communication Skills: Excellent written and oral communication skills, and ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with mentally or emotionally disabled persons and their families.
Work is usually performed in an office environment; includes continuous contact with staff and the public. Work is performed in an office or other environmentally controlled room; work exposes incumbent to contagious or infectious diseases; work may expose incumbent to dangerous and volatile situations; which could result in bodily injury.
