Job Title: HVAC Supervisor

Join our team as an HVAC Supervisor and play a crucial role in maintaining the comfort and well-being of our campus community. As a key member of our Facilities Services department, you will oversee the maintenance and repair of our heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems, ensuring that our buildings are safe, efficient, and comfortable for students, faculty, and staff.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and supervise a team of maintenance technicians and lead workers to ensure the efficient operation of our HVAC systems.
  • Develop and implement maintenance plans to prevent equipment failures and reduce downtime.
  • Collaborate with our engineering design team to ensure that new projects and modifications meet industry best practices for efficiency, reliability, and maintainability.
  • Communicate effectively with customers, staff, and leadership to ensure that HVAC system activities are coordinated and that affected customers are informed of activities that impact their operations.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Five years of experience in HVAC maintenance work, with an Associate's degree or vocational school certification substituting for two years of experience.
  • Three years of experience as an HVAC supervisor or lead worker.
  • Proven experience in HVAC building automation systems.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to maintain it throughout employment.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience managing HVAC building automation systems, preferably Johnson Controls Metasys systems.
  • Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) experience, preferably IBM Maximo.
  • Knowledge of safety measures and occupational hazards of the trades.
  • Experience working in a large university/college maintenance operation or multi-building operation.
