HVAC Supervisor

Join the University of Kansas Facilities Services team as an HVAC Supervisor, responsible for overseeing the maintenance and repair of campus HVAC systems. This is a key role in ensuring the comfort and safety of our students, faculty, and staff.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage and coordinate HVAC maintenance and repair activities across campus.
- Supervise and train HVAC technicians to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
- Develop and implement maintenance schedules and procedures to minimize downtime and ensure optimal system performance.
- Collaborate with other facilities teams to ensure seamless operations and effective communication.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree or vocational school certification preferred.
- Five years of experience in HVAC maintenance work, with at least three years of supervisory experience.
- Proven experience in HVAC building automation systems.
- Valid driver's license required.
- Previous experience using MS Office, including Outlook and Excel.
- Experience managing HVAC building automation systems, preferably Johnson Controls Metasys systems.
- Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) experience, preferably IBM Maximo.
- Knowledge of safety measures and occupational hazards of the trades.
- Experience working in a large university/college maintenance operation or multi-building operation.
- Experience working with or in plumbing, sheet metal, and/or electrical trades.
- A competitive salary range of $80,000 or more, commensurate with experience.
