We are seeking a highly skilled Respiratory Lead Therapist to join our team at Ochsner Health. Key Responsibilities- Deliver high-quality respiratory care services to patients of all ages, from neonatal to geriatric.
- Lead and mentor a team of respiratory therapists, providing guidance and support to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Develop and implement technical policies, procedures, and standards for the respiratory therapy department.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure seamless patient care and communication.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest respiratory care techniques and technologies, applying this knowledge to improve patient outcomes and departmental efficiency.
- Associate's degree in respiratory therapy or a related field.
- Current license as a Respiratory Therapist in the state of practice.
- Certificate by the National Board of Respiratory Care as a Certified Respiratory Therapist.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification from the American Heart Association (preferred).
This role requires working in a fast-paced patient care environment, with frequent exposure to blood, body fluids, and tissue. The incumbent must be able to lift, bend, and reach, with the ability to travel between facilities as needed.
