About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Staff Software Engineer to join our Client Telemetry Engineering (CTE) team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and operating end-point telemetry systems that provide our associates with a best-in-class digital experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop complex software changes and features for telemetry and orchestration systems
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements, timelines, and deliverables
  • Participate in and lead technical requirements analysis, design review, and contract closure
  • Mentor and coach junior engineers to facilitate their development and provide technical leadership
  • Manage and maintain multiple production and non-production environments, ensuring standard automated build and release processes
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 8+ years of professional experience with 5+ years of hands-on large-scale telemetry systems
  • 5+ years of hands-on programming experience in Python, Ruby, Java, and REST
  • Excellent computer systems fundamentals, DS/Algorithms, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong experience in system monitoring, logging, tracing, and triaging tools
  • Strong experience with SQL/No-SQL and database, distributed caching, distributed event store, and stream-processing technologies
  • Experience in systems design, design patterns, microservices, and distributed systems
  • Large-scale distributed services experience, including scalability and fault tolerance
  • Exposure to cloud infrastructure, such as Azure, GCP, or Open Stack
  • Knowledge of common Data Warehousing and Data Analytics/Science concepts
