Our Challenge

We are seeking a skilled SQL Developer to join our team. As a SQL Developer, you will be responsible for designing, documenting, creating, and maintaining data structures for complex business data – tablespace, tables, indexes, views, partitioning, etc.

Responsibilities:

  • Write native SQL stored procedures, user-defined functions, and triggers.
  • Provide environmental support – escalating issues when necessary to other DBA groups.
  • Perform database tuning and performance analysis using standard tools.
  • Support development and QA teams through their development life cycles.
  • Help resolve/escalate issues as needed to successfully deliver projects on time, on budget, and with quality.
  • Adhere to industry standards for best practices.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field.
  • Hands-on experience using SQL in application development and database administration.
  • Expert in SQL – complex multi-table joins, nesting, correlation, etc.
  • Able to design, document, create, and maintain data structures for complex business data – tablespace, tables, indexes, views, partitioning, etc.
  • Able to provide environmental support – escalating issues when necessary to other DBA groups.
  • Able to grasp and understand business context and become expert in the underlying business data.
  • Confident in dealing with administration of development environments, and in working with other DBAs for higher environments.
  • Team player – able to work with developers in multiple technologies (Java, Ab Initio) to assist in impact analysis, design, and implementation of SQL queries/performance, etc.
  • Experienced working with QA teams.
